Student Peace Movement
York’s Student Peace Movement is a group campaigning for peace. It was launched by YUSU’s Environment and Ethics Officer John Nicholls in collaboration with the Democratic Socialist Association, the Labour Club, Amnesty International and People&Planet.
We try to raise awareness about peace and conflict and related issues such as nuclear weapons and the arms trade. We hope to bring students together from a broad range of backgrounds and across the political spectrum to promote a vision of a more peaceful and just world. We also aim to act as a link for students to other societies and external groups who share our aims.
